DESCRIPTION
40 Bags (2,000 lbs) of Certified Roane Seed Wheat (NP0791, Unit 298), Certified Roane Seed Wheat, 40 bags of 50 lbs each (2000 lbs total).  This wheat is non-treated, soft red winter wheat.  Grown on our own farm in Central IL.  2020 harvest.  Fields and seed are inspected by the IL Crop Improvement Association and have met their rigorous standards for certified seed.  Seed test in the pictures.  Germ is 95%.  Purity is 99%.  Roane is a full-season, awnletted, soft red winter wheat released by the Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station. Plant color is blue green at booting. Flag leaf at booting stage is recurved and twisted. Plant height is 1 inch taller than Coker 9803. Winter hardiness is similar to Madison. Roane is resistant to the prevalent field populations of powdery mildew, susceptible to stem rust, intermediately resistant to soilborne mosaic, wheat spindle streak mosaic viruses, and to leaf and glume blotch. Roane possesses a moderate level of resistance to scab. It is resistant to Hessian fly biotypes GP, B, C, and E. It is susceptible to bio-types D and L.

Notes: Seller can help arrange shipping at the buyer's expense. Items need to be removed from premises within 30 days unless other arrangement are made with seller.
